Well, I Tried…

But I didn’t succeed.

That pretty much sums it up. You can move on now — nothing more to see here.

But if you’re still reading, let’s break it down. Yes, for those counting, that was two rejections in one week. Two rejections in one week can be a lot to take, but chin up, chest out, feet to ground, and run on.

Now that the burn is over, and I’m back in my right headspace. Focus is on continuing the Abbott World Majors 3.11 Challenge, logging 139 miles this month (23 more to go), and 149 miles next month. My planning for the next big run — or the next big thing — never ends, but I can’t lose sight of where I am today.

Right here.
Still running.
Still trying.
Still showing up for every damn mile.

In short, it was tough to swallow, it left my chest a bit hollow, but only for a split second — because the miles must follow.
