And just like that, another month of goals and achievements in the books.
June was packed — running, life, family, celebrations, challenges — honestly, I’m still not sure how I managed to fit it all in… but I did. Every damn mile, every damn moment.
June Achievements Worth Celebrating
June 30th marked 101 days of streak‑running, 162 days completed in the 3.11 x 311 Challenge, and hitting my monthly mileage goal of 139 miles. Add in a stack of Garmin and Strava challenges that kept me pushing forward, and it was a month of showing up even when I was tired.

It also marked another month of smart savings — no paid race registrations. Zero. Nada. Not even one “oh this looks fun” impulse sign‑up. #winning
However, June left a mark on my heart. Not everything was a win. There were days I was barely able to squeeze in a run. I only logged 5 walking miles, and while my strength training held steady, it definitely needs more consistency. July is where we rally behind the areas that need attention.
Life Outside the Miles
On a very family‑oriented personal level, June was full of joy. We celebrated several graduations in the family — milestones that remind me how fast life moves and how important it is to pause and appreciate the people we love.
It was a month of cheering, hugging, clapping, and feeling proud of the next generation stepping into their next chapter.
Good‑bye June; Hello July
But June is history and July is a mystery.
A brand‑new month always feels like standing at the start of a fresh stretch of road — you can’t see every turn, every hill, or every surprise waiting ahead, but you step forward anyway. That’s the beauty of it. July doesn’t need to be predictable; it just needs me to be accountable.
So here’s what I’m carrying into July:
- the discipline that built 101 straight days of running,
- the determination that pushed me through 162 days of the 3.11 x 311 Challenge,
- the confidence that comes from hitting 139 miles in a single month,
- the joy of celebrating family milestones,
- and the reminder that progress isn’t boisterous — it’s consistent.
- July, I’m tired… but I’m ready.
- Let’s see what kind of magic we make this month.
July Goals
- Continue the march of the 3.11 x 311 Challenge
- Keep the streak run alive and afoot
- Increase my walking miles for recovery and balance
- Strength train with greater consistency
- Maintain smart spending — no impulse race sign‑ups but a fall race isn’t out of the question
- Show up for myself, one mile at a time
- Spend more time cuddling my sweet cat Loki

Starting July with a peaceful morning run. Such a beautiful peaceful section of the road leading to Waverly Hills Sanitorium

Wrap‑Up
June was a full month, and I’m proud of what I got done. Some days were strong, some were a struggle, but I kept moving. July starts with a calm morning run, a clear head, and a few goals I’m ready to focus on. I’ll keep showing up, keep taking care of myself, and keep putting in the miles — one day at a time.
Here’s to a steady start and a solid month ahead.
